Wednesday, Feb 8 ~ Trois Rivieres
Our little “tree-house” apartment in Trois Rivieres was such a comfortable place to hang-out that it took real effort to head down the stairs to go visit places. However, on our last full day in Trois Rivieres, we did go and visit the Maison de la Banane. This is a real working banana plantation and, after an introductory video and tasting … (we each ate three bananas in a row for the first and, I think, last time in our lives) … we were free to wander around among the banana plants and workers.
Even though it was a working plantation, it was quite beautiful with a variety of “non-banana” plants and great views down to the sea and across to the Îles des Saintes.
Bananas come in dozens of flavors. One of the three we ate was an “apple banana”.
